Alice, William and Caroline have worked in close collaboration over the past 8 years as choreographer/directors, performers, writers, producers and advocates. They have created large-scale performance works as well as participatory art experiences, and they have engaged the broader Melbourne dance sector in advocacy projects.
As co-directors of Alice Will Caroline, they’ve created six evening-length performance works, presented in the Dance Massive, Next Wave, FOLA and Melbourne Fringe festivals. Their work has been commissioned and supported by the Substation, Arts House, Darebin Arts Speakeasy, Abbotsford Convent, NGV and Temperance Hall, with residencies at Lucy Guerin Inc, Chunky Move, Dancehouse, Vitalstatistix, Ian Potter Gallery and Boyd Studio (City of Melbourne) among others. They have been funded by the Australia Council, Creative Victoria, Creative Partnerships Australia and Besen Family Foundation, and received numerous awards and nominations, including the 2019 Green Room Award for Best Ensemble Performance (Dance).
