Caroline is a graduate of Adelaide College of the Arts (Bachelor of Dance Performance - graduated 2005) and Victorian College of the Arts (Postgraduate Diploma of Performance Creation (Choreography - graduated 2013 - First Class Honours).
As a dancer and performer she has worked with Australian and International artists and companies including: Natalie Cursio Co. (2010–2018); Michelle Heaven (2014 - 2021); Phillip Adams BalletLab (2018-2020); Walter Dundervill (2018-2020); Merce Cunningham Trust for NGA (2018); Monica Bill Barnes and Company (2018); Sandra Parker (2021-2022); Shelley Lasica (2018); Paea Leach (2017); Reckless Sleepers (2015); Alice Dixon (2006–present); Rob McCredie (2009); Opera Australia (2006–2016); Dario Vacirca (2009); Feng Feng Wang (2009); and Malia Johnston (2008).
Caroline has choreographed three solo works, presented in 2016 (Blowin’ Up - the Substation for Melbourne Fringe), 2013 (Too Much Sun - Victorian College of the Arts) and 2006 (Untitled - winner of the Splashdance Choreographic Competition, Geelong). She has also worked closely with Alice Dixon since 2006. Together they have created works for the Victorian College of Arts (Dance School), Short and Sweet Dance Festival, Melbourne Fringe, and Natalie Cursio’s ‘Private Dances’. In 2020 Caroline was a part of Chunky Move’s ‘Solitude’ home residency program, supported by the Tanja Liedtke Foundation, and this year she is the recipient of Creative Victoria’s Creators Fund Grant for choreographic research. She also worked as a movement director - in Geelong Arts Centre’s ‘Mountain’ by Kit Brookman and Andre Jewson.
Caroline has taught dance at various schools and studios in Geelong, and regularly teaches professional class at Lucy Guerin Inc. She has also taught classes at Victorian College of the Arts. She has been an active advocate for the Melbourne dance community and published several written pieces - for Delving Into Dance and DAMN Writing. She is a trainee Audio Describer with Description Victoria, and is currently studying a Masters of Speech Pathology.
Caroline has undertaken professional development workshops in New York, UK and Europe. Her work has been supported by: Australia Council for the Arts through ArtStart; Besen Family Foundation; the City of Melbourne (Young Artist Grant); Creative Victoria; Lucy Guerin Inc. Studio Residencies; PAF Summer University (France); Maximised by Chunky Move; Arts House Four Walls; Tasdance TRIP Residency; Dancehouse; and Mosaico Danza (Italy).
